There's only one Stephen Wade and in my opinion he's a national treasure. Even his smile is a national treasure! I've listened to his music for many years and am always inspired by the spirit and goodness he puts into his music.
I've enjoyed his seminal book The Beautiful Music All Around Us and have been further inspired to learn tunes he presents. Stephen traveled, spoke, and shared music with the authentic sources or progeny of the original sources. His writing ability is ethereal and his insights are astounding.
What else can I say, except that I'm continuing to enjoy and learn from his voluminous set of recordings on banjo. Hope you like the ones I've included in this jukebox, both clawhammer and picked styles, as is Stephen's way, too.
